Description

The MM-6170FT is a conduction cooled, conformally coated 32-bit/33MHz FLASH PMC (PCI Mezzanine Card) with an operating temperature of –40 C to 71 C. The card has been designed with extended temperature devices and board stiffeners to reside on DY4 Level 100 (SVME) Convection Cooled Single Board Computers.

PMC's have become the standard form factor of choice for I/O on today's high performance board level VME and CompactPCI cards. PMC's are electrically equivalent to the traditional PCI bus, and most VME and CompactPCI single board computers now include one and often two PMC sites for flexible I/O integration.

The MM-6170FT can easily provide NVRAM expansion memory on cards with PMC sites. The card is capable of being both a target memory and a DMA initiator in order to maximize throughput. NOR FLASH technology provides 20 year data retention and up to 100,000 write/erase cycles.

The MM-6170FT includes board stiffeners and extended temperature devices which enable it to operate in harsh, high vibration environments within a temperature range of -40 C to +71 C.

Reliability is ensured by burn-in and running memory diagnostics that check operations for 96 hours while temperature-cycling boards from –40 C to 71 C.
