Description

The MM-6170F is a 32-bit/33MHz PCI Mezzanine Card (PMC). NOR FLASH chips are utilized to provide up to 128MB of non-volatile, solid state memory. This technology makes the MM-6170F the optimum high speed booting source, performing burst read transfers at over 20 MB/s. In addition to being non-volatile, the card can be reprogrammed in place without ever removing it from the carrier card. The card is capable of being both a target memory and a DMA initiator in order to maximize throughput. The NOR FLASH technology provides 20 year data retention and up to 1,000,000 write/erase cycles.
A complete VxWorks driver and BIST is included.
The configurable space header of the MM-6170F returns a class code of 05h, indicating that it is a memory controller, and a sub-class code of 00h, indicating that it is a RAM module.
Reliability is ensured by burn-in and running memory diagnostics that check operation for 48 hours while temperature-cycling boards from 0° to 70°C. Reliability is backed up by Micro Memory, LLC's Lifetime Warranty.
